The pieces in dust particles vary, but the most likely combination of human skin cells, hair and pet dander is unpleasant enough. The Proper Way of Dusting
Since you are aware that you shouldn’t delay house cleaning for too long, you need to dust often enough for it to make a difference. There are many ways to dust, but let’s start with the most common and useful one. Remove all items from your furniture and start dusting each piece of furniture one at a time. To remove all the dust in your home, you can’t take any shortcuts along the way. No dusting around items, since it will never get the job done right. Just pick every item, move it somewhere and dust off the furniture in one go.
Using a dusting cloth to give your furniture a good wiping is a start. The specialized microfiber cloths are made to hold dust particles. It won’t fly around like when you use dusters, so you won’t need to use spray cleaners and any residue. You should also dust your items, not just the furniture. Dust each using a separate dusting cloth from the one you’re using for the furniture, to prevent making a bigger mess.
Wiping the Area Around the Furniture
During the dusting, you may have inadvertently pushed some of it to the floor around your furniture. Just take a broom or vacuum and give the floor a good cleaning as well, to eliminate the remaining dust. You should also take another dusting cloth, cleaning the sides bottom and front of the furniture.
Regular Dusting versus Deep Cleaning
The big question remains whether you should dust regularly, or when it finally becomes easy to spot with the naked eye? The best thing you can do is clean your home regularly. It doesn’t have to be every week, but every other week works. There is a difference between a normal dusting and a dusting similar to spring cleaning, however.
The items being deep cleaned should be the less noticeable ones, but still capable of holding dust. Door frames, windowsills, under your beds, behind the furniture, the walls themselves, the top of the blades of the ceiling fan and more. Regular cleaning of these areas that accumulate dust fast and the more noticeable parts of the home will ensure you’ll breathe free, never choking on dust. Do regular dusting of your living room, bathroom, dining room and kitchen to keep it that way.
