House Cleaning

If you have owned a piece of jewellery for quite some time you will have noticed that it’s not as shiny as when you first bought it.  Just like everything else you possess, your jewellery needs to be cleaned.  Here are some very simple House Cleaning tips for putting the sparkle back into your gold and silver jewellery.

It’s very unlikely that you would want to include jewellery cleaning as part of a House Cleaning service and jewellery cleaning products can be rather pricey.  Why not try some of these cheaper alternatives to put the sparkle back into your jewellery:-

  • Drop your dirty gold or silver rings or any gold jewellery into a glass of Coca-Cola or Sprite and leave it overnight.  Give them a quick wipe in the morning and notice the difference!
  • Apply a toothpaste containing baking soda to an old toothbrush and give your jewellery a good scrub.
  • Soak your jewellery in full-strength vinegar and leave it overnight.
  • Soak your gold jewellery in hot water and shampoo for ten minutes.  Scrub with an old toothbrush and leave the items on a fresh kitchen towel to dry.

It’s always nice to bring your jewellery back to its former glory, and the same can be said about your home when the household chores have got the better of you.  If you find yourself struggling with the House Cleaning then why not seek the help of a cleaning agency?  They can provide your property with a friendly and reliable house cleaner that can come and visit on a daily, weekly or fortnightly basis.
